TMI (Too Much Information) is the new BBC2 saturday morning show, presented by Sam and Mark. This is from today's Mirror:

'In the show the stars, Sam Nixon, 22, and Mark Rhodes, 26, will move into a house and be filmed round the clock as they prepare for screening.

CBBC entertainment chief Joe Godwin said last night: "It will be life under the microscope, warts and all, for Sam and Mark. The show puts an exciting twist on reality TV."

Called Tmi (too much information), the programme, which kicks off next month, will feature games, celebrity guests and competitions.'

Well i said in the old thread i hoped Sam and Mark would present it - they're perfect for Saturday mornings really. Shame it's going under CBBC rather than the new teen brand though.

Now why do I feel it kind of sounds like Stephen and holly Saturday showdown?

What's this new teen brand? I don't think Sam and Mark are that good to be honest and I thought Gemma Hunt was going to be presenting the new Saturday show.

The BBC are developing a new brand for 12-16 year olds http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2006/06_june/26/teens.shtml.
CBBC is now going to be concentrating on primary school kids only. I basically thought that a saturday morning show should be as part of a teen brand cos in the past going live!, live and kicking, sm:tv etc have always attacted a lot of this age group - and this sort of programme seems to be naturally suited to that age group.

Unfortunately the link doesn't work anymore.

Anyway I agree with you, Saturday morning shows always had a huge teen audience so it's weird if this show isn't going to be aimed at them.

Not really. Sam & Mark will be filmed in a house together before the show is aired and then the reality packages played out as part of TMI on a Saturday morning. And anyway, the BBC started the whole house thing with Dick & Dom.

Someone said something about there not being a female presenter - there will be, she just hasn't been announced yet.

Brilliant. Reality TV encroaching into even more areas of television.

Will much of what a 22 year old and 26 old man do when living together be, erm, suitable to be broadcast to kids?

I mean worry about bills and discuss the finer points of string theory and the conflict in Lebanon. I don't know what you were thinking.

Laughing And when they swear!

I don't mind Sam and Mark but i still want the saturday show back,or at least Simon Grant presenting another show with someone.

Didn't the use of the house start off with No 73 with Sandi Toksvig and Andrea Arnold?

"TMI (Too Much Information)"???? Shocked

Names of programmes seem to get more and more bizarre... Rolling Eyes

At least names like "Going Live", "Live & Kicking", and "The Saturday Show" related to the nature of the show in a literal (albeit basic) way.

It's the ITV weekend-morning kids' shows that have traditionally had more random sounding titles (like "Motormouth" or "Get Fresh" - the latter being rather dodgy for a kids' show IMHO Confused )

BBC's poor attempt at trying to appeal to the T4 audience but without Hollyoaks/One Tree Hill/BigBro/Totally Frank/Friends.

What shows could the beeb possibly show, a uk version of the OC would just be laughable.
