Is TMF available on UK telly platforms other than Freeview?
It's always seemed to me like it's basically the MTV equivalent of "UKTV Bright Ideas", for the benefit of us poor Freeview viewers who don't have the luxury of umpteen music channels.
As satellite/cable viewers will have access to the full raft of MTV channels, I can't imagine that there's any point in the "taster channel" that TMF essentially is, being carried on those platforms?
Given that recent graphical changes to TMF are so very very MTV-like, I'm surprised that it hasn't also changed to some "MTV [ludicous choice of suffix]" type name.

It sits in the Virgin EPG as the third channel after MTV and MTV+1 (as they decided it would infact be a brilliant idea to move MTV2 all the way to the end of the MTV list).
I suppose it provides a more mixed genre channel, than say MTV Hits in the same way The Hits and The Box work together so its a welcome channel, if it does mean a 4th channel full of drivvel MTV productions like The Hills. tsk.

They could've at least have done their home work and use the current TMF logo that all other TMF channels in Europe are using, rather than the 2002 one.

You're probably right there - seems to have worked for Virgin1 - though admittedly with a much better schedule than FTN.
Not quite sure what they should call it though - I don't really think numbering it (unless it was MTV1) works when there's only one channel on the platform.

I'm surprised MTV haven't rebranded the channel yet. I bet by just rename the channel to "MTV [insert something here]" with no scheduling changes, viewing figures would go up just based purely on the fact its under the MTV name.

Well there is also MTV R don't forget, which apparently stands for MTV:RATED rather than MTV:REPEAT, on channel 201 on Sky.
I like how TMF is now made to feel a apart of the MTV Family, with it's own cartoon character, but I'm sure the general public have no idea it has anything to do with MTV.
