TMF

TMF has a new look. It has new straps, new DOGs and new idents. Every single element of the design is ghastly. It's a tragic mistake. Who the hell designed it and decided it was good enough for public broadcast? More importantly, which senior manager agreed?

It's a shame to think of how good TMF in the Netherlands looks. Their's is quite techy looking; lots of brushed silver and red. All the graphics are neat and non-obtrusive.

What is happening to British TV? Just when you think it can't get much worse and we'll start to climb out of this presentation pit we seem to be in, someone decides huge grey blobs are the way to go.

I said to my brother on Thursday that I hope TMF get a new look. Friday comes, and I really wished they hadn't bothered. That is without a doubt the worst presentation for a music channel. Not a happy person this morning...

Urgh!!! That strap is horrible! I don't mind the idents so much, they're a bit arty but alright.

What is it with MTV and bizarre graphics? I hope that, like MTV, TMF now has lots of short-lived different looks, so this one doesn't last long... It certainly seems to have that kind of "pretentiously alternative" feel about it, like many of MTV's.

I was a great admirer of TMF's previous look - it was unusually classy for a music channel, and had years left in it in my opinion.

And it was nicked from MTV2 Pop!

Ugh, I can't even bear to watch TMF now.

Forget Pimp My Ride, Maybe Pimp this Channel would be more apt.

MTV lost the plot a long time ago - all of their channels are in a **** state, with identity crises, too much emphasis on American programming, repeated theme weeks/weekends... the list is endless.

I was watching it the night it got the new look, and have hated it since. The only good thing is the DOG (smaller and at top left),

On the night it launched, all the songs were displayed as an Usher song. Not a good start!
