Is it me, or are these things becoming like the late night gaming fad?

Of course it started with Girl Talk or something on Friendly TV then just went from there gettting more risque.

Simple idea: Girl sits on bed with tits out and has a play on camera whilst talking to someone at £500 a minute or whatever, occasionally speaking into a very low-grade £10 Argos mic.

Earlier on in the evening (pre-watershed) they wear a low cut top and a short skirt.

Must be quite a little revenue generator - but is it taking advantage of a lonely, and in some cases, mentally disturbed audience?

Your thoughts please.

These things have been running for quite a while now. I think the first one popped up back in 2003. - well before the gaming fad started.

I would sooner watch EuroNews or Brain Box on a loop than any of this kind of trash. Thank goodness that as far as I know it's not on Virgin Media.

But then again, the clue as to why it's not on VM might be in the first word of the name...

That SmileTV says it all for me...utterly pointless channel and a waste of space on Freeview. It was meant to be fresh and entertaining when it launched but its just nothing but slags and interactive poker. Rolling Eyes Makes me angry!

It was a quiz channel with a migraine inducing CSO giving away £5 an hour when it launched, for what it's worth they've improved Rolling Eyes

I would say "unwilling" as you were once again the architect of your own downfall.

Out f interest, does anyone know anything about the ownership of these channels/shows? Are they all owned by one big holding company? Surely there must be accounts available somewhere to look at.

I'd be highly surprised if they were able to make any profit.
