Hmm it has happened many times before, no ident once I even remember no headline bed. Let's hope Mr Peep has right when he talked about improvements to BBC World's automation system!

Well I've seen it once when the ident has played in audio, and it has just been a wide-angle shot of the studio on screen! You could see the presenter getting ready and aknowledging what the gallery was saying! I think it was Anita McNaught.

There's a classic, which I think is the one you refer to...
The gallery were aware of the time & counting on air, but Anita didn't have her earpiece in so didn't hear the gallery.

She looked v. embarrassed when she heard the vamp & assumed it was just a rehearsal!
