My site TiswasOnline has been approached by ITV1 and a rights-holder of Tiswas to help out on the one-off 90-minute 'Tiswas reunion' special

That'll be 67 minutes then, after ads.

Is this a fetish thing?

A trawl through the links to us this evening did reveal one particular site with an interest in THAT fetish! Now and again we get people with that particular, er, interest, asking us for specific clips.

Still, we're interested in actual Tiswas fans, the ones who appreciate the comedy and slapstick for what it was.

He'll be there. I was the one who phoned him up to get him on the show! An absolute source of nightmares in my childhood, but he was such a really pleasant guy to speak to on the phone!

I don't remember the Banana Splits being part of it. Analympics certainly, as well as the classic Road Runner cartoons.

All done to a running order, ironically enough!

AFAIK The Banana Splits were never actually a part of Tiswas, in my memory they were shown as a stand alone programme. Mostly on the BBC. Remember this wasquite a long show (up to 25 minutes) and Tiswas only tended to show regular 8 minute "Looney Tunes" or, as Pete says, clips of stuff like Animalympics or Snow White.

It may be that in certain areas The Banana Splits could have been shown before the programme (although on the Tiswas site we have surrounding listings for most regions and I haven't seen it in there yet), or they could have been shown in the same time slot after the end (or before the start) of a series.

Either way, it's looking to be a good show, and for those of us of a certain age it's a dream come true! But, as always, each to his own! Wink

Maybe because the Banana Splits were on BBC1 around 1980!

Yeah, but some Tiswas on the box is better than nowt. The only 16:9 Saturday morning kids' show they've done is Ministry Of Mayhem, which was as enjoyable as a one-night-stand with Anne Widdecombe.

Slightly off topic, but me & my bro saw Claire Short driving past the old Central Broad Street entrance just before Xmas!
