Timeless on ITV2 after is way funnier than either of them.

If the ratings carry on like this, then life will be imitating art and he won’t be getting a second series.

They're already filming the next Alan Partridge series, some sort of Dimbleby style documentary

Sounds like a rehash of Sissored Isle, the Gibbons Brothers/Coogan did for Sky Atlantic then.

That was a spoof of those personality fronted travel-historical documentaries

Sounds a hit more like a Philomena Cunk type of thing, I hope not though

Best episode of the series tonight - can see now how it's all built up to enable them to get more far fetched by the week later in the series.

Tonight's episode was hilarious, back to classic Partridge. The Monty Don bit felt like something out of I'm Alan Partridge, nice to have the references to past Partridge stuff too.

It's just ashame those first episodes just felt so flat (for me) and I worry the damage may have been done.

Definitely the best episode of the series so far! Was nice for Lynn to have a bit more of a prominent role and some really genuinely funny sequences - almost can't believe they managed to get an Irish rebel song on air minutes before the News at Ten!
Whataday, DeMarkay and JCB gave kudos

Agree. It's a shame it's taken half the series to hit it's stride but it was worth sticking with.

Am I the only one that it didn't occur to that the lookalike was Steve Coogan?

I'd imagine so. Surprised they did that though as surely a really bad lookalike would have been funnier.

I've enjoyed every episode (particularly on rewatching and noticing all the nuances), but tonight's was fantastic and I can understand how people that have been unsure about it would enjoy it more. It feels a more solid piece now it's become Alan's show.

I still think it would have been great to have stripped it Mon-Fri, but in terms of "damage" already being done, I think it will be long watched and enjoyed as a complete six episodes on demand rather than week by week.

Well I didn't even think about it.
