Didn't think Warren was that bad actually.

Looks like there isn't any behind the scenes stuff as such looking at what we've seen so far, looks like it's entirely in the studio.

I'm wondering if those people coming out the toilet were in on it or were genuinely having a camera thrust in their face unexpectedly.

Well, that was underwhelming.

One of them was one of the writers.

You know something’s wrong when a spoof of The One Show has a nicer set than The One Show... It was actually a decent set, with a main sofa area, screen area and interview area.

The similarities between Partridge and Richard Madeley are so hilariously clear.
London Lite and DeMarkay gave kudos

They're "as live" but with the studio shots remaining when they go to VTs.

You are joking? That set was absolutely dire. It was part of the joke - they musg have made it that bad on purpose.

The Beeb do realise that most of the viewers don’t actually work for them don’t they?

I can kind of see why someone earlier said that they think the BBC One audience might not get it. If you’d never really watched the character before I’m not sure you’d get the gags and the subtle bits and pieces. Kind of why W1A is on BBC Two and not prime time BBC One.

Lynn was hardly in it, it’s almost as if they shoehorned her in just for the fans

I thought that was absolutely hilarious. The man’s a genius. He nailed awful/regional* presenter. Reminded me more of Nick Owen when he was on Anne & Nick.

*same thing

The email was widely reported but even if you hadn't heard about it, the segment in the show where Alan was confronted about emailing loads of people would have tied it in.

It had a slow start but picked up and is strongest when Alan is hosting the show alone. I actually think it would have worked better stripped Monday to Friday as a week long event rather than a weekly show. There's something about it which is a bit more 'throwaway' than I'm Alan Partridge and I think if it were stripped it would have been a glorious event.
