Hoping the announcer keeps up the pretence of Alan filling in for a show that’s been around for ages when introducing it tonight.

Because Twitter isn't "the BBC one audience"?

If "the BBC1 audience" can cope with Ab Fab and its endless references to fashion labels and celebrities, or Blackadder with its numerous historical references, it can cope with this. The BBC1 audience is up for all kinds of things (as is the ITV audience), and it certainly copes with intense drama like Line Of Duty. I think that's a really patronising comment from Hyland, who I don't like.

I don't want to come across like THAT GUY but I have actually had the pleasure of seeing the first two episodes, and it's everything you'd hope for. If people are that concerned about "the BBC1 audience" there are some really wonderful visual jokes too.

This is the same BBC One that has shown Alpha Papa, so the audience are more than capable of understanding Partridge.

Another in the Ricky Gervais school of comedy, you either love or not, I’m in the latter category.

Why am I not surprised.

Now I see why they put Warren on first Shocked (or is it harsh to have that opinion 12mins in?)

To think they commissioned drivel like Warren and turned down the Goodnight Sweetheart revival.

Is it not a tad unrealistic for a suburban family home to still be using dial-up internet even as a ‘the dad’s a cheap skate’ joke? And none of the character’s seem remotely likeable.

It's trending on Twitter as a direct result of people expressing how dreadful it is.

I’d rather see the latter back but I don’t think Warren is too bad.

I turned off Warren after 5 mins.

No worries there, she's going all out. "My new BBC colleague Alan Partridge" over the long awaited credits for Warren.
