Even with the limits on kids advertising and potentially lower audiences I'd have thought the fairly unique prospect now of kids shows getting a half decent slot on a main channel would be something advertisers would pay for, and it would just start ITV's weekend off on a much better foot with something like Thunderbirds are Go, then perhaps Mr Bean and Fort Boyard on Saturday mornings. It doesn't have to be under CITV branding - indeed it might be better not to be.
Not sure who would watch that though, adults channel hoping and stopping on Jeremy Kyle wouldn't, and kids wouldn't as they will be channel hopping in the 600s, it also wouldn't encourage people to switch over from Saturday Kitchen.
It's a nice thought but after a week or two, you'd be left with a small audience.
It won't even hit 200,000 viewers next week - CITV never does (I think Old Skool Weekend is the only time they have). The highest rating show for the week of March 16-22 was Almost Naked Animals, 5pm Saturday, with 166,000 viewers. It's quite obvious that it needs to keep that 5pm timeslot, and be on ITV instead of CITV. Moving it to 8am as they have planned is quite frankly, suicide.

What's the normal ratings for that Saturday 5pm timeslot on ITV?

Well it will still be on ITV as ITV and CITV do a simulcast until 9:25am.

I think You've Been Framed in the 6pm hour is usually around the 3m mark, so I suspect 2.2m isn't too far off the norm for the 5pm hour. It's also usually a dead hour - last night it was an hour they could have sold to advertisers who wouldn't usually be too interested in the slot.

As long as it has a relatively strong following on CITV, I'm sure they will be happy, with most of the revenue for these things coming from merchandise and overseas sales.
Did STV and UTV push the show as heavily as ITV considering they won't be showing the rest of it? Looks like UTV Irealnd showed the premiere last night but won't be showing the rest of the series.

A bit confusing, CITV are showing episode 2 on Thursday 17:00 which UTV Ireland are showing next Saturday at 17:30.
Episode 3 is on CITV Saturday morning 08:00 simulcast with ITV/STV/UTV.
