Aren't they American ? They must've closed down 'cos their US office was destroyed. If I'm wrong, it must be a mark of respect.

NO they're not American. It's a Granada channel, it comes from Liverpool !

What did News 24 do, and BBC World News? Did they just show a black screen or what?

News 24 and all the BBC Channels showed live pictures

Of the satelite channels...

Some showed live BBC News/Sky News
Some showed a black screen with white writing (Flextech ones..)
Some showed a static caption with the station logo (Wellbeing)

In 'Ideal World's personal touch, they showed all the presenters standing silent

All important channels observed the silence
