This may have past people by, but this week has moved from Milbank to now using the one studio. It seem there using different sofas.

The One Show set has proved very adaptable.

It's not the first time they've come from The One Show studio - they were temporarily there not so long back. However Andrew Neil seemed to imply it was a permanent change this time. Much better it looks too.

Despite the darker colours of the This Week set, it looks a lot brighter than the dungeon set they had at Millbank.

Though he did imply this, they will be back in Millbank next week.

I thought they'd shifted the 'one' lettering but it seems to be still in the same place, just disguised...

This Week came from The One Show studio in the autumn/winter of 2014 when the Millbank studios were being upgraded to HD.

Unlike Sunday Morning Live, who cover the interior letter pieces, This Week have been happy to refer to being in The One Show studio and live with them. (To be honest - they aren't that dominant if suitably lit, and without the exterior sections)

I wonder if the local election programme tomorrow is already set in Millbank, so This Week needed an alternative location?

Like other members, I was confused by the references to This Week having suddenly permanently moved to Broadcasting House! And like noggin, I do wonder whether the local election set is already in place in Millbank, meaning that This Week has moved?

Then again, I can't remember the programme having had to move on the eve of a local election broadcast before - if they're using the big desk in Millbank (as they do with the Budget coverage, which also comes from there), in the past This Week has been able to have their normal set in place, but with the desk and furniture all on the floor rather than on the rostrum. This is as the rostrum is taken out to accommodate the desk (which does lead to some slightly dodgy close-up shots on This Week as the screens are too high to be a good backdrop without one!).

The sofas certainly don't look any different (from memory) compared to the old ones, which does make me think this is one of This Week's slightly odd jokes.

A shame they don't open up the view onto BH Plaza when they come from the One Show studio - although perhaps it doesn't look great at night (although the One Show obviously show it in darkness during the Winter months?!).

I'm sure I'd seen a clip from DP earlier in the week which showed the big desk in place, so it was unsurprising to see it at 9am this morning . . . albeit with some different masking to hide the cameras, which is spoilt by that misaligned 'screen'

Whilst TW looks ok in Studio V, I somehow prefer the dungeon atmosphere and setting they use at Millbank. Very Happy It's seems to better suit the cosy yet rather malevolent nature of the show. Cool

Yes, the big desk was used on Thursday, just without the local election branding on the front.

Urm... I'd say it was spoilt by the masking entirely! The fake newsroom is at completely the wrong angle, unless they are wishing to imply that the studio has a horrid ramp down past the desk that journalists are forced to work on?

The big desk has been in place since Monday.
