Philip Schofield is plastered over the front page of The Sun on Sunday today. This time for the rift between him and Amanda Holden quoting that ‘he is ruining my career’.
News UK probably got a sniff at Philip’s annoyance of the Sunday Times cover and are continuing to rub salt in the wounds.
I think he's been there long enough to say who he should work with because if he gets someone thrown next to him and they have no relationship it aint gonna work.
She should have kept her mouth shut because this isn't going to look good for her and she'll not have the ability to host it with someone else other than Phil if she burns that bridge.
They seem to be over it now as they're back giggling away.
There's still something not quite right to me. Yesterday Holly tried to have a giggle when she stole Phil's link into the cookery item but he moved on fairly quickly.
Not the best article to read. Trying to read it on safari on the iPad and they insist you watch the video by covering the entire page with the video player.
Sorry but Phillip Schofield isn't the be all and end all. If someone feels strongly enough about a disagreement then who gives him the right to have a say as too who does what or where?
He's starting to become an annoyance and getting overly full of himself. Maybe that's just the James Grant way of doing things though....

At the same time, it sounds like he exerting too much control over the bosses who should be making these decisions.

I do think the cover incident suggests he’s jealous of Holly’s success along with the article about wanting to replace Ant
Speculating I wonder if ITV don't want to go against Schofield's requests/demands for fear of protests from James Grant Management and other stars signed to the agency.
Incidentally though probably related I noticed this morning The Sun's front cover didn't feature in the BBC's paper review at 9.45am or their website's blog. Similarly only part of the front page was visible during Andrew Marr's paper review.

I suppose if the management go against him then ITV might as well close it doors seeing as the majority of their presenters are signed up to him.
Does that management company have that much of a stranglehold over ITV they're scared of potential repercussions?
I don't really see why they've dragged this up now considering Holden wouldn't be able to do it even if they knocked on her door tomorrow morning asking her to because she now has the Heart breakfast show anyway!
If there’s one thing that I hate, it’s people getting too big for their boots. And if you believe these reports, which I do take with a pinch of salt, it seems Phillip has become just that. He should not be influencing presenting changes on This Morning or any other show, yes you do need to have chemistry with a co-hosts but it’s producers who should decide on that not Phillip himself. Never been a fan of the man in any case, but I always felt like Holly was number two to Phillip as top dog, that’s why when they split half term sometimes and get paired up with someone else, both are much better.
I guess this has all come to light after Amanda’s new role on Heart has put a spotlight on her and her answer of “Phillip Schofield” to things you wouldn’t want to find in your house alongside Jamie Theakston’s reaction probably tells all you need to know, many a true word spoken in jest sort of speak. Odd timing in one respect though as really what more could Amanda want from ITV? She’s not going to be able to commit to TM cover given there’s only a thirty minute gap between one coming off air and another going on. And I’m guessing time off she has from Heart will be spent with her family as opposed to extra work.

I'm a bit incredulous as to why no-one seems to be querying whether or not this story, and indeed the Sunday Times cover thing, have any truth to them whatsoever..? "Don't believe everything you read..." and all that.
I think there is a general belief from the fallout with Fern that he got a little bit too big for his boots, and there is a perception that just as how things became awkward when Phil came to be billed equally with Fern, and subsequently seemingly became the more important part of the partnership, that Phil is becoming uncomfortable as Holly has become an equal rather than junior part of their partnership. There is probably a bit of frustration from Phil that his projects at ITV outside of This Morning and Dancing on Ice have dried up a bit too.
Of course though the media are likely making much more out of it than there actually is, which in turn might actually be adding fire to the smoke, and anyone who has worked together for 10 years is certainly going to fall out from time to time or question their working and personal relationships. Sadly there is often someone there ready to stir the pot when that happens, when in reality that pot just needs to simmer for a bit and everything will be fine.
