I've not seen them go straight to the menu from the titles, but they often go to them soon after a quick hello if they've got a packed show and not much time.
I think they used to go straight from the titles into the menu not long after Fern & John became main presenters and they had makeshift titles.

That's normal for mid-week shows. They usually have a longer pre-menu talk on Mondays or whenever one of them has done something which they want to talk about. For example, Holly's trip to New York a couple of weeks ago.
Holly and Phil said a quick hello and then straight into the menu.

Isn't it only more recently that they've been having more of a lengthy 'hello' before getting into the menu? In the Phil and Fern years ISTR pretty-much always they'd do a brief hello and launch straight into the menu, but in those days they also took a lot longer to do the menu? There's a clip from a few years back on YouTube with Eamonn and Ruth on a day that Richard and Judy were in to do the Papers and Eamonn hadn't turned up after presenting Sunrise yet, so Richard did the menu and Eamonn joked afterwards that the menu 'was longer than the programme', which whilst obviously a joke at Richard's expense did sum up pretty well I thought how long the menus generally went on for at the time!

That is a quick fun, opening discussion. You make it sound like full segment.
With such hard hitting topics as ‘how do you cut your toast’ which I witnessed whilst working from home on Monday I’m sure she’ll be absolutely fine!

In half, along the diagonal.

Utter nonsense. What are you talking about???? It's in half, intersecting all midpoints, perpendicular to the outer edges in both planes.
I.e. not diagonal.
