All it took was two edits to get Ruth and Eamonn in the titles in a way that feels natural and doesn't remove Holly and Phillip, even if the new edit makes it look like Phillip is meeting Eamonn and Ruth for a coffee and Holly is snubbing them to go shopping.

I've been reading through the feedback on twitter and there's a lot of unhappy folk annoyed it isn't live and it's just repeating clips from the week.

The only good thing is seeing Eamonn and Ruth in the titles FINALLY.

I caught a bit and it might be good for running the best segments from the previous week for the crowd that probably wouldn't normally see This Morning. But it is rather sandwiched in the schedules between the C4 and BBC shows, so...I dunno how it'll work out. My personal feeling is that pitting cooking against cooking isn't the winning formula and that maybe ITV needed another idea than what the other channels are doing. But we'll see how it goes, I did like the new titles though

That summarises your quote. It's a bit of Sunday filler - nothing more, nothing less, and rightly or wrongly assumes a significant number of Sunday viewers wouldn't be able to watch within the week.

Hence why I said I've been reading through twitter. It's not my personal view. Preaching to the converted.

I wouldn't be surprised if they retain these titles for the regular show on Fridays.

John Barrowman presented the show with Holly today and seemed like he was a hit with viewers.

I can't believe they still haven't sorted out the keying on this part of the opening titles yet: Its been four months.

I would be happy to see Holly off our screens, she is not good at her job! Neither is Phil, seems too old to do the job anymore! Time for someone qualified to step up! However, until then, a cardboard cut out of Holly will suffice, would probably emote more too!

Completely and utterly disagree.

Not claiming the post wasn't utterly ridiculous (it very much was) but the snipes at Digital Spy on here do seem a bit petty/unnecessary especially if TVF is meant to be the more highbrow option. You get ridiculous posts both here and on DS (the GMB thread on here proves as much and there's been some awful posts on here over the year) and I've seen discussions on both about sport moving other programmes and any terrible posts are often called out on both.

Maybe I'm missing something (or just pick 'the right areas' of DS to go) but don't see why liking DS or TVF should be mutually exclusive.
