A lot of assumptions seem to be made here, Holly is doing well on IAC so she should quit her day job and become the face of loads of prime time shows. The fact she is hosting such a massive show as IAC rather than something new is obviously helping.
I expect she will go back to This Morning just as before.

There is possibly the question of how long This Morning can afford Phil and Holly. It's fine when everything is going well but a downturn in the advertising market and a need to cut costs could see the question being asked whether the show could be hosted for less.
In reality though at the moment for both of them regardless of what they do in primetime This Morning is their biggest gig. That would obviously change for Holly if I'm a Celeb was a permanent option, and who knows, perhaps going back to my first point their might be some folk at ITV thinking that bringing in Holly's TV partner rather than Dec's might be an option moving forward. Indeed freeing up Ant and Dec for Saturday nights in the autumn could arguably be a wise move by ITV.

I don't think there's any worry of Holly taking Ant's place for so many reasons.
I think it's not whether they would get a pay cut it's more the question do they still enjoy doing it or if they felt it would be better giving someone else a go when the show's in good health? I think those would be the reasons for them to leave rather than money.
At the end of the day nobody is bigger than the show. This morning will go on for as long as itv does and the show will always manage as long as there are sponsorship deals and it keeps pushing the boundaries on daytime.

Philip Schofield would probably beg to differ.

There was the return of the Christmas titles & music from last year with the addition of an adjusted opening shot from the September 2018 titles.
Also, Christmas spruced up the studio and they've introduced a fake fire between the corner 'window' panes, also a new sofa area where the green room area was.

The opening shot seemed very clumsy with the white taxi driving cutting to a stationary shot of holly stepping out. It’s nice to see the return of last year’s titles that used the posters and leaflets around them to promote items rather than them animating onto the side of buildings or roads.
The studio looked gorgeous and cosy, though after the Halloween effort, I’m surprised that they didn’t apply a Christmas effect to the view, or even temporarily relocate them for Christmas.

Eamonn and Ruth normally do the last week before Christmas.
Is Holly expected to be back before Christmas, presumably back for the last week from the 17th?

I don't think she'll be back till next year. Nobody seems to know yet. Not even Holly.
