They've got special titles and music for today's Royal Wedding Special.
They've had a "This Morning at the Royal Wedding" DOG in the bottom left hand corner for the whole of the show so far, which I think is a bit unnecessary.
Eamonn and Ruth have both pronounced Eugenie's name incorrectly. I would have expected them to have known the correct pronunciation (although Eamonn did pronounce her name correctly during the pre-recorded interview with the couple).

Yes, they started removing the sofa while on air yesterday.
This is working well as a This Morning special than if it was an itv news special or a BBC event.

Yet it has the full ‘major news story’ treatment on the BBC News website.

The Royal Wedding is the top story on the ITV Lunchtime News, but was the final story on the BBC 1 o'clock News.
Given that ITV was the only broadcaster to show dedicated coverage, it shows what a difference there is between these 2 broadcasters with regards to this wedding.

Also shown in full on 7 in Australia (I could be wrong, but I believe they anchored it in Australia then opted into the main feed).
You're right - News Channel hung around for 10 minutes, including several minutes stuck uncomfortably on a wide-angle of the lower ward of the castle, then reran some arrival clips. The BBC have, as they clearly know, massively screwed this up - the BBC ONE schedule was "Homes under the hammer" and "A1 - Britain's longest road" (both repeats). Sky had some talking heads outside the castle when I briefly flipped over, and they streamed the outdoor pool (minus ceremony) online.
I thought the ceremony coverage (which I watched on the royal YouTube channel) was pretty respectable - I'd like to know how many of the crew from May came back to do this. Thought the sound mix was pretty good too, though I was only listening in stereo.

It was simulcast on TLC in the US. I take it since the BBC balked at carrying it they didn’t get access to a indoor pool as once she entered GMT went to News.
