Presentation is looking really good, very nice remix to the bed - quite nice having real windows again to!

They've got special titles and music for today's Royal Wedding Special.

They've had a "This Morning at the Royal Wedding" DOG in the bottom left hand corner for the whole of the show so far, which I think is a bit unnecessary.

Eamonn and Ruth have both pronounced Eugenie's name incorrectly. I would have expected them to have known the correct pronunciation (although Eamonn did pronounce her name correctly during the pre-recorded interview with the couple).

Nice touch for the studio to have the same This Morning decor such as the pillars, coffee table and sofa.

Most of it admittedly has just been nicked from the This Morning studio. Proven when Phil and Holly presented yesterday’s best bits from the gold chairs as the sofa had already gone.

Yes, they started removing the sofa while on air yesterday.

This is working well as a This Morning special than if it was an itv news special or a BBC event.

They’ve removed the DOG for the ceremony itself. Special golden This Morning astons are being used for the order of service.

Yes, I think calling it This Morning at the Royal Wedding was a smart move. This Morning is a far more popular brand than this particular wedding (rightly or wrongly).

I notice the drum roll into the titles is straight from the GMB Oscars theme.

The Royal Wedding is the top story on the ITV Lunchtime News, but was the final story on the BBC 1 o'clock News.

Given that ITV was the only broadcaster to show dedicated coverage, it shows what a difference there is between these 2 broadcasters with regards to this wedding.

It was simulcast on TLC in the US. I take it since the BBC balked at carrying it they didn’t get access to a indoor pool as once she entered GMT went to News.

Yet it has the full ‘major news story’ treatment on the BBC News website.

Also shown in full on 7 in Australia (I could be wrong, but I believe they anchored it in Australia then opted into the main feed).

You're right - News Channel hung around for 10 minutes, including several minutes stuck uncomfortably on a wide-angle of the lower ward of the castle, then reran some arrival clips. The BBC have, as they clearly know, massively screwed this up - the BBC ONE schedule was "Homes under the hammer" and "A1 - Britain's longest road" (both repeats). Sky had some talking heads outside the castle when I briefly flipped over, and they streamed the outdoor pool (minus ceremony) online.

I thought the ceremony coverage (which I watched on the royal YouTube channel) was pretty respectable - I'd like to know how many of the crew from May came back to do this. Thought the sound mix was pretty good too, though I was only listening in stereo.

I thought Eamonn and Ruth did a great job, and far less pompous than certain other hosts would have managed.

As an aside though, I'm amazed This Morning only has one copy of that sofa.
