Phil is in danger of becoming a problem rather than an asset and his ego seems to be growing by the year. It is no secret that since Fern left he calls the shots.
I believe he's done it twice.
Even though Phil works well with Holly, she's actually better when she's with other presenters and it feels more equal.
And that's not necessarily Phil's fault - I think Holly plays up to it.
When you think about it, you have to wonder how Holly is going to develop over the next 10 years. I mean, I can't imagine her slightly child-like persona fitting when she hits her 40s. It's already wearing thin at the moment.

I know it's not a vital ingredient to the show, but I don't half miss Fern's laughing fits. Whenever I see Holly "lose it" it feels much more forced, like they really want to trigger Daily Express headlines. Fern tried to cover it up, which in turn made it much funnier. You get the impression she's nudging Phil during the break, telling him to say "penis" so she can wet herself.
I dunno, I just found Fern and Phil a much more natural pairing. The idea of Phil and Holly being a "TV husband and wife" just seems odd, especially when you hear Holly talking about when she used to watch him on CBBC when she was a kid.

Couldn't agree more. Even now I watch the below and still find it hilarious. I do find Holly and Philip's humour a bit childish, immature and cliquey. For example Holly's 'noise' doesn't really warrant all the hilarity that ensued.
