Yes, Richard hosted Runway which was one of the 9:25 quiz shows. it was preceeded by the normal live promo for This Morning which meant that Richard and Judy introduced Richard's programme

Which lead to some wonderful handovers to Runway from Richard that still stick in the memory

"That's all coming up later.. but first - me"
"Now, here's something I did on my summer holidays"
"If you can't wait until This Morning later to see more of me - you are in luck"

Off topic, but what a ridiculous Granada News set, looks like a reception desk.

The whole set was totally ridiculous, the desk was massive and when two people sat behind it on Granada Tonight it looked even weirder. Bob Greaves and Stuart Hall had a bit where they would take a trademark Sideways Look At The News and they sat in giant thrones. Was such a demented set. Didn't last very long, though.

Is that the infamous typing-on-the-keyboard era?

If you do play the entire clip, it does involve Richard Madeley in Speedos! Shocked

It lasted April 1992 till October 1992. Then they moved Granada Tonight back to Manchester with the print house look. Granada News still came from Liverpool with another new look this time with a live shot of Albert Dock or The Liver Buildings but the clicking of keyboard for a live link remained for quite some time.

Wasn't the weather map still in Albert Dock for a number of years after This Morning moved to London? (apologies if this has been mentioned before...)

I remember it still being present on the first incarnation of Google Earth.

Yes, it was still present in the 2003 imagery, but gone in 2005.

I always wondered how that map worked. Did it float? It looked a little too stable for that. And at the end of the very last episode from Liverpool there was a shot of all the crew standing on it - a lot of people for something just floating atop the water.

At the beginning of the second series when the map was installed* I remember them showing a time-lapse of its construction. The map pieces were sitting on a metal grid just under the water line, that I presume was attached to the bottom of the dock.

I never noticed any tide in the dock so I presume it didn't need to float?

*the original one was a map painted onto a rectangular platform, presumably floating and tethered
