Yes, but the sound mixing desk and vision mixing desk are seperate. If the wrong source was faded up on the sound desk then the viewer will hear the wrong thing
How does that even work, surely the titles and music run together?

Or if the titles have got the wrong music and nobody checked (perhaps if delivered last minute).

Yes, the titles are made specially for that episode so possibly it was an editing cock up that was too late to be spotted/changed.
A programme I used to work on did something similar and I remember a former colleague of mine completely arsing them up one day. They were made correctly but were run through the studio, and the person involved just couldn't seem to clip up the correct take... despite 3 attempts at doing it. The gallery ended up ditching out of them when it turned out they still had the incorrect version

Sounds as if both presenter mics were live and Ruth's fiddling with the lanyard knocked her mic to me.

ginnyfan shared in another thread recently of how one TV show in the US is merging a shot of two socially distanced presenters together, which looks pretty seamless and much better than having them in separate boxes/with a huge gap between them:
I saw on Twitter earlier that This Morning are now doing the same. It looks *fine* at a glance - most of the shiny column disappears which is a little odd but you wouldn’t really notice unless you were paying special attention.

#ThisMorning have very cleverly merged individual shots of Phillip and Holly to look like they're sitting next to eachother... only took six months! pic.twitter.com/Qrqa2ZHN2t

I think rightly or wrongly, viewers need some normality back on their screens.
I don't see the issue as long as they show the wide shot from time to time.
