I guess Eamonn and Ruth will probably host all next week then it'll probably be guest hosts on Bank Holiday Monday before the confirmed return of Phil and Holly on the 1st September.

Yes probably.

Another report today about one of them planning their departure. 🙄
Funny that the newspapers always have stories on Phillip and Holly a week or so before they return to the programme, helping bring them back into the limelight. 🙄

Based on nothing more than gut-feel, I believe there will be a big departure and changes before the end of the year, or perhaps around January 2021.

ITV Daytime needs a bit of freshen-up.

(My own personal opinion only).

I have my complaints about ITV Daytime but they have next to no competition so I don't see what the incentive is for them to freshen up.

...accompanied by Frizell's virtue signalling attempt at hiring a permanent BAME presenter. I really do feel for whoever is hired based solely on the colour of their skin.

What the hell is that suppose to mean?

In simple terms, if Martin Frizell really is keen to hire a new permanent presenter based on their skin colour, I feel sorry for them. It is awfully patronising.

No. He wants a BAME presenter as part of the main lineup in the future. He isn't axing anyone for a BAME presenter. He won't hire a BAME presenter just because of that. If a non-BAME candidate comes out on top, so be it. If a BAME candidate cones out on top, so be it.

Putting is plainly, he is NOT axing someone who is white for someone who is not. He is NOT appointing a presenter who is not white just for the sake of them being not white.

Talk about taking a throwaway comment well out of context...

If they do hire a BAME presenter, my first choice would be Alison Hammomd who is bang on target for their audience.

Totally agree. Whenever she's trending on Twitter, the reception is almost universally positive - people saying that she should be a permanent host or even have her own show - so I think she'd be the perfect choice. I think she's already one of the best people on This Morning so giving her a spot in the main lineup would be great!

Wasn’t there strong rumours going round that Alison was being lined up for own show just before lockdown happened?
