Eamonn blatantly hates it every day he and Ruth have had to do it.
To be fair, Eamonn appears pretty disdainful about most things.
Some of the rubbish low-brow features they have these days, it's not surprising.
Last Spin to Win today until September.

I think it was 2009.
A question, when was the first year that This Morning started to air across the Summer?
I think it was 2009.

I think it was 2009.
Earlier than that. I remember Denise Van Outen and Richard Bacon presenting all summer possibly as early as 2005?
Edit: It was 2005. Here's a Guardian article from the time, mentioning the fact that it was the first time in the show's history that it would air all summer.

That first half hour of today’s show is going to generate some tabloid stories I expect
Simon Calder was on talking about the quarantine rules and was giving dodgy advice that was not in the spirit of the rules and was not giving up
Ruth had to shut him down and looked annoyed at him for the rest of the item

Might be wrong but I don't think it continued year round the following summer or two, so may have been 2009 since it happened regularly.

Sounds like he was answering the question put in front of him and being shot down as the messenger, basically stating the current rules permit you to end your quarantine if you are going on holiday abroad again. I have to assume someone of his reputation has checked that and wouldn't state it if it wasn't the case - I know if you claim to be going on a business trip you are permitted to fly out again so wouldn't surprise me if it's the same with personal holidays too.
Anyway, as suspected viewers are "disgusted" according to the tabloids, but then they were also "disgusted" when Eamonn suggested an alternative ingredient in a recipe of James Martin's too.

I think it has been on all year round every year since 2009. Eamonn and Ruth did all the summer editions that year and they launched the new studio and graphics on September 1st. Then Holly joined a couple of weeks later.
2005 or other years before that may have been one offs in summer.

I’m also wondering how it came about that Lorraine presented This Morning on a regular basis at one time. I’m guessing she was still doing LK Today at the same time, so it would seem odd that she presented two similar programmes on the same channel an hour apart. Or did she not do GMTV on Mondays at that point?
I know Eamonn does the same very occasionally but it’s much rarer and not routine.

Lorraine on This Morning was only ever a temporary thing and it was due I think to Fern only working part time due to having a baby and she was reluctant to do it full time but the producers were desperate after the Twiggy and Colleen debacle

Yes, she did Monday and Fridays for a year or two before Fern eventually returned to four days a week and I think Ruth then came in for the Fridays, with Phil doing all five days until Eamonn joined Ruth regularly around 2006 according to Wikipedia - although he had guest hosted before. I think they both did the show on the day of the Golden Jubilee in 2002 and I've a feeling Ruth and Eamonn maybe did the Fridays in the summer of 2005 when Richard and Denise were bought in for the summer series.
