You weren’t discussing it, you said that you were “pretty flabbergasted” and that my comments were “absolutely mental” and “crazy”. Excuse me for not seeing that as a polite invitation for further discussion.
Assuming they could find someone to install a bracket (including sourcing it and completing a risk assessment), I can confidently say that pillar won't support it as it's freestanding.
They had to use a TV for something the other day and it was just propped up on a table. In fact Holly nearly knocked it over.
Just a completely off-the-wall thought that I'm sure wouldn't work, but does that wall of 'windows' only show that view of London, or could that be used to display other things e.g. the logo, guests contributing on a video link from home etc? I've never thought about it before.
The windows could be used for anything, but while they don't keep it a secret that they are screens, I suspect they're cautious that overusing them as screens might spoil the window effect.
I remember seeing a video from last month where they made a big show of changing the view from drab and grey to bright and sunny so you're right about them not hiding the fact that they're screens but I see why they'd want to keep them appearing to be windows. Interesting to note that they technically COULD alter what is shown on those screens though as I wasn't sure.
And of course the displays have been tweaked in the past for the England flags, halloween (circus and wizard of oz) and adding Christmas lights to trees.
