This Morning

It hasn't been mentioned (I don't think) but for Wednesday's programme This Morning went a little football crazy and added England flag bunting and large realistic looking waving flags on the background. It's the first adaptation that I've seen them do to the background and it worked very well; similar ideas could be done in the future.

Probably snow at Christmas at least (but not when it's actually snowing!)

It worked very well. And of course they can also wheel them out for St Georges Day each year.

The 'Summer' titles aired today with adjusted shots instead of Studio 8, featured shots of the TC3 Studio door and television centre as a closing shot which worked quite nicely.

Does it really say This Morning on the studio sign (and if so does GMB flash up when that's on air)?

Unless the top half is an LED screen, the This Morning lettering looks added in post to me..

Oh.. Another giveaway - I'm pretty sure, every TVC studio door sign I've ever seen has had the word 'transmission' in red back-lit letters.

I was wondering whether they are now digital displays rather than backlit signs.

Both John Leslie and Fern Britton were live on the show today.

I thought they had seperate entrances at each end of the studio for TM and GMB?

Yes they were. Not together just to add. But Fern did comment at the end of her interview that she bumped into John backstage and that it was great to see him.

Shame This Morning didn't introduce him to her on screen, but I guess given that during their partnership he was terminated from the show, they probably don't want to reference his tenure on the show too much.

It got a big mention when he appeared on the programme last week.
