I think it’s firmly assured and confirmed in the past that they’ve stated if one of them left, the other one would too. So we’d be looking at two new people rather than one.
Unless you are great friends (not showbiz friends) with both presenters involved, and have had a private discussion about this, I very much doubt anything is 'firmly assured and confirmed'...

There are an awful lot of ‘Sources’ being quoted in that article.
The one about his former PA being promoted to now work on Loose Women as being a snub is tenuous.
It’s always funny how The Sun is seen as terrible unless you want to believe the story, in which case it is accurate.
As a big star I imagine he has a bit of an ego, and maybe he dislikes Amanda Holden (which is perfectly within his rights to do, many people dislike her), but I doubt it’s more than that.

Which you could say about most newspapers. The Sun are accurate when it comes to 'exclusive' soap spoilers, leaked 2-3 months in advance. This Schofe story could easily be pulled, all it takes is a phonecall from an agent or lawyer, but it hasn't.
As I said there is no smoke without fire. A popbitch mailout a couple of months ago suggested that Schofield's dislike of Holden was mutual.

Available but I don't think the right choice either for This Morning or working with Holly.
Not to mention ITV do have plenty of options from their own pool of talent when it comes to replacing Phil
Matt Baker is now available for This Morning if Philip Schofield ever did leave. I could actually see this happening sooner rather than later. It's not as if Baker has a golden handcuffs deal with the BBC.

Yes that's a good point - I don't think Matt Baker is on James Grant Management's books

Now it has been 10 years of Phillip and Holly on the show, they are coming across so smug and fake. Especially him.
In their first few years together they were a fresh presenting duo and some of the 'bloopers' were genuinely spontaneous and funny (like when he was with Fern). But now they seem to be forced and just going through the motions.
Holly shines when Phillip isn't there, as he always controls everything.
Holly has presented the programme much better when she has done it with Eamonn.
The same when she did it with Ben Shepard, when Phillip and Eamonn weren't available.
Maybe there will be some positive changes of the format of the show when it moves to 10.00 starts in a few weeks.
I still think it's a programme best suited to those presenters with journalistic backgrounds (Eamonn, Ruth, Fern, Richard, Judy) than 'entertainers' (Holly, Rochelle, Rylan, Alison, Amanda).
Eamonn and Ruth should be doing the bulk of the programmes, as they are much more relatable and professional.
IMO Ruth is much better suited to This Morning than Loose Women.
Since Loose Women has again reverted back to more celeb gossip and relationship advice than serious topical news debates, that fluffy show is better left to the likes of Colleen, Andrea, Denise, Nadia, etc.

It was also firmly assured that they were best of friends. Recent reports suggest otherwise.
It’s unusual to holiday year after year with anyone who isn’t a friend though, is it not? They must be close.
Things can change, can't they?
None of the main players or crew members though. Willing to be corrected but the only people I remember coming to his defence was Kem from Love Island and another semi-regular 'expert' who I'd never heard of.
Of all programmes, This Morning has the sort of team that would rally round someone and show public support if they meant it.

Even up to the last 'insider' leak, people on social media were defending him and attacking Amanda.

I disagree that a journalistic background is needed for This Morning, it does come in handy for sure but plenty of presenters have been able to conduct serious interviews without having been a journalist.

I get the feeling that Schofield prefers having a co-host who is perceived as being below him on the popularity and talent scale. Holly was seen as being those when she joined in 2009, but has built up her own brand in her own right. Allegedly asking for Humes is where Holly was 10 years ago.
Personally I can't stand Holly or Rochelle being LE performers and prefer the likes of Ruth or Judy Finnigan having a journalistic background, but the target demo which has skewed younger since 2009 prefer the fluff.

No. He left due to other work commitments.
If you're suggesting he could take over from Big Phil, I should add that I cannot imagine many people whom I would deem as insufferable a replacement.
Hasn’t Dan Wooten recently been
axed
from appearing on Lorraine?
