A bit random that Vanessa would be at their HQ, especially on a day they're not airing. I know she used to regularly do the paper review but not sure This Morning even still do that (been a while since I've seen the early part of the show).

Usually I'd say ITV absolutely right to drop a show for live sports coverage rather than moving it around the schedule but considering the Jeremy Kyle situation they could have aired on the three RWC dates this week and last from 9.25-11am or so, so wonder if that was considered and if it not happening is just proof that a 55 minute turnaround between GMB and This Morning wouldn't be practical.

(Similarly wonder if any of the breakfast slots are impacted by future matches if they might run Lorraine in the 9.25an slot).

I imagine that as she was on Radio 2 this morning, and the news was announced at 2am, that they asked her to appear. A clever use of the office area that will be fitted with studio lights for the crossovers during the main programme.

Considering the turnaround, I have to say it was a well made segment.

The papers could have run a story “This Morning MOVES to 9:25am”

I assume the show has been AXED.

The story was breaking around 10pm last night (it was looking likely to be confirmed at 2am) and the office would still be working on stories as usual (I think they start work at 6am) even if the show is off air so it wouldn't have been as spur of the moment as you'd believe.

There were crews posting around 9pm that they were being "delayed" until the following day, but it was well understood that there would be no official announcement until all the aircraft were back in the air and heading to the UK (it's a lot easier to deal with impounded planes at a few UK airports than all across the planet, although it seems New York jumped the gun and impounded that aircraft before the announcement).

Vanessa is quite the seasoned presenter. I wonder why they’ve never used her on the sofa?

Don’t forget, she’s already done two radio shows by the time This Morning starts.

Princess Beatrice is getting married. I wonder if we’ll have another This Morning Royal Wedding special in 2020?

They were talking about doing another this morning special next year. I suppose it depends if it's on a weekday again.

New thing or just a new promo?

They’ve been doing the tours for quite a while now, but this is a new Promo.
