There seems to have been more non Phillip & Holly shows since they rebranded with the two of them in the titles.
There hasn't.
When you look at the different partnerships that have presented since the named titles you've had Eamonn & Ruth, Phillip & Ruth, Eamonn & Holly, Phillip & Amanda, Ben & Holly, Ben & Jenny, Rylan & Ruth, Rylan & Lorraine and coming up Ruth & James Martin.
My point being that having Phil & Holly all over the titles and branding seems awful when they're not there compared to the previous branding of the programme.
I still don't understand why Ruth and Eamonn never got their own titles in the refresh last year. I do wish when new presenters come in they try and shake-up the days and week's they work. Why do they need summer and school holiday's off? This is same with breakfast shows too.
Holly has a good excuse for that nowadays - she's a mother. I think though, it's just tradition from Richard and Judy's time. Same goes for Lorraine Kelly on her breakfast show, she originally took school holidays off for the same reason, but no longer needs to.
It keeps them happy in the long term though. Suspect they'd be a far higher turnover of presenters without the lengthy breaks. It must suit all parties too - Ruth and Eamonn may present less but rarely get a full week off - possibly only the week before Christmas and summer when Phil/Holly present on the Friday.
The 4 day week though seems to be a UK thing - doesn't seem to happen with the equivalent US and Aussie shows.
This is rather trival I know but the recent live wedding had a different couple getting wed then I remeber back in February who had 'won' the chance, they were both prison officers I remember, just curious as to why they were dropped in favour of this rather bland dull couple...anyone know about this ?

I remember a couple of weeks after the first couple were announced, it was said they had to drop out, but I can't remember the reason why, then at the same time they introduced the new couple.
think it was last week on this morning.... a live link to miami talking to a guy who had written a book about ... was it Prince ? not sure
What surprised me though was how they were talking with absolutely no delay.... it was as though they were in the same room !
Has technology moved on now that people can talk across the wide atlantic .... instantly !
