It was never fresh and modern. It created a distance between the viewers' comments and the main presenters. Most comments 'featured' were usually just treated as throw away lines, with the quantity depending on how much time there was to fill.

Phil flicking through his iPad used to bring up far more entertaining results.

The Wright Stuff had a "hub" so to speak but initially this was only ever to take viewers' phone calls. It was the first of its type on any show - a specific part of the studio using social media to engage with viewers - definitely fresh and modern.

Are you referring to the 'babe in the booth'?

I think it is safe to say The Hub has gone, as I believe all of the areas of the studio have now been shown and unless they have a brand new location to the show for it, there is nowhere left.

I assume they will continue to use the ipad and the callroom will continue to be featured.

Having had a look on the Facebook page for the show, The Hub is gone:

Oh! That's fairly conclusive!

all new Phil
I agree with the comment on that link about it's only purpose being to give work to z-list celebrities. I've always thought that The Hub was unnecessary and a bit gimmicky, and I think that overall it was a much better show before it was introduced.

I wouldn't consider Emma Willis a z-lister.

I don't even think Rylan is either.

Rylan is the king of the Z listers.

Why do Phillip and Holly keep getting cut off in the handover to ITV News?

Why do Phillip and Holly keep getting cut off in the handover to ITV News?

When I saw the interruption, I think this happened because the person who does the opt in (at ITN?!) pressed the button after saying "Now to head to the ITV Newsroom" then cut, before hearing them announce the presenters name
