Nah, filling in for Phil this week. Ben starts his new schedule for GMB tomorrow, Thurs & Fri every week.

Marvin and Rochelle to present tomorrows show.

EDIT: Holly and Ben are back as Marvin and Rochelle are unavailable at the last minute.

Eamonn's written in his autobiography about the beef he had with his GMTV editor Martin Frizzell, who's now the TM editor. I wonder if that's got anything to do with it?

I don't think there's any love lost between the pair. Eamonn famously called him the C-word at his leaving do, and implied he didn't have a clue.

Ben's new schedule started back in September.

Holly and Ben are great together, I hope Ben is first choice if Phillip ever leaves.

Further to the discussion a while ago on This Morning circa 2001/2002, I was browsing TV Ark and noticed they've uploaded a clip from 28th October 2002 with the full title sequence from that era (spoiler alert: it's not very exciting). Interestingly enough it's from the same day as the ITV1 rebrand and, from how Fern is talking, sounds like it's just after the John Leslie incident:

There's also clips from 2000 with the old and short-lived new titles from before Richard and Judy left.

Ben's certainly better at the fluffy end of current affairs that TM provides.

They tried to make the 2002 titles more interesting in 2004 (and failed)

God, that opening was painful. Noticeably far more shots of the presenters in the updated version of the titles than the ones posted earlier, which only had a handful.

Thanks for posting that, I didn't know they updated that logo. It looks like a bad MS Paint recreation, with the single colour squares and the bad replacement font! The version with the circles that followed is much better.

I cringed at everything in that clip - the titles, Gloria Hunniford, Cliff Richard, Gloria saying to Cliff: "I was worried that you were gonna be taken away"...

The cube rotation during the titles looks very dated, like something from the mid 80s when advanced computer graphics came out and opening title sequences tended to include every possible feature, just because they could.
