Certainly if both were to leave it would be very surprising if Ruth and Eamonn replaced them directly at least. I do just think it is odd that in recent years they have pushed them to the forefront more, using them to collect awards and having them co-host (though very much in a secondary role) the 25th anniversary. Even if they don't bother with their own titles I do think they should just cut it down completely and just use the opening bridge sting on Fridays.
Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I noticed today during the fashion segment when they had two straps at once with clothing details, one was a white bar with turquoise text, and the second slightly smaller strap was a turquoise bar with white text. The white text on this second strap was really hard to read, and I was watching in HD.
I think it was mainly because the strap was quite small, but I think that is something that needs to be rethought.

Are Eamonn and Ruth being sidelined on This Morning? First they're not given they're own set of titles like Phillip and Holly, now they're not covering half term week. Instead of the usual arrangement, Phillip and Holly are having alternate weeks off. Amanda Holden covered for Holly last week and Ben Sheppard's covering for Phillip this week. Eamonn's written in his autobiography about the beef he had with his GMTV editor Martin Frizzell, who's now the TM editor. I wonder if that's got anything to do with it?
I'm guessing that they feel that they should keep at least one of the main two on. Obviously it could be due to different half term weeks. I doubt that they'll do the same for Easter and the summer hols.
I must say that Holly & Ben worked very well together imo. I think the lighter format worked in Ben'a favour compared to GMB.

Maybe that's a new approach moving forward, that rather than have both main hosts off, they always want one or the other on air. (A bit like The Big Breakfast used to do with Chris and Gaby. They were very rarely off at the same time.)

I don't like the idea of two faces only being on the opening titles. The previous titles were great because it was more about the show than the presenters.
It's a step backwards for this morning and Eamonn and Ruth deserve better.
