Though I suppose they had the similar problem that it was hosted by Anthea and Ross Kelly that day.
I agree Jon I can't see Eamonn doing that selfie bit either.
Today on the programme they used the corner area for a review on Star Wars toys and then changed it for a facial skin expert. So it looks like it is the one area for items and performances.

They've just spent what I'd imagine to be tens of thousands upgrading the studio to HD, fixing up the outside of the studio and giving the interior the biggest makeover in it's history. An extra hour or two of filming with Ruth and Eamonn and time editing them wouldn't have broken the bank. Even without using them I'm sure the Phillip and Holly titles could be cut together in such a way they're not really included (and they'd have the benefit of scenes which didn't make the titles too).
P.S. Does the gold motif appear at all in the programme other than on the taxi at the start. I've only seen the ripple effect in teal or white.

Why couldn't they of had titles focusing on Holly and Phil, but included Eamonn and Ruth? Similar to the new Lorraine titles, including 'the family'. They wouldn't have then needed two different titles. Or perhaps when Holly and Phil look at each other and walk off at the end, done that for Eamonn and Ruth?

TBF the ending could just be changed so that Ruth receives Schofe's selfie, etc. if they wanted them to be cheap.
They could at least have 'with Eamonn & Ruth' on the logo.
As Brekkie suggested It would have made sense at the time to record a generic set that could be edited with Phillip & Holly; the taxi pulling up, the poster on the wall, the blackboard in the coffee house, the close up of the magazine, then the outside of the building?
