Something that dawned on me with the windows now having a prominence as a backdrop to the sofas, what will happen on those dark, damp winter mornings when it used to look black outside with the main window and the TV windows behind the presenters and guests. It may look a little cold.
Also as the X Factor girl group walked on they came down from the left of the screen. Surely that's not good set design, it spoils the illusion of the new 'window' straight away. The problem is that this will make some viewers think that all of the windows are fake.

, wondered if the Boots sponsorship would segue into the titles with the same music. I really like that effect from the 1990s This Morning titles (when BT were the sponsor). Is it allowed under Ofcom these days? It seems to have gone out of fashion in any case.
No it's not allowed, it was common back in the early 90s when sponsorship was a fairly new thing, you can see it on various programmes of that era, but for many years sponsorship and the titles have to completely separate.
Regarding the exterior painting, I know the old blocks logo was painted out but I've never seen a photo of it not painted out. I'm wondering if it never happened, either they didn't have planning permission, or it looked rubbish so they didn't go with it. The way it was painted out shoddily suggests it a rush to get it covered up as quick as possible.

Love the new spacious set! Not a fan of the gold feel, but thats just my opinion. The titles are in HD but the studio is still upscaled, however, the difference in quality since the switch to the new HD cameras is obvious. No more artifacts!

Looks like they've eventually switched to HD cameras instead of broadcasting SD upscaled to HD. Good change

I would have thought the upgrade may well happen over Christmas considering they actually have two weeks that the show is totally off the air so the gallery can be fully upgraded. I'd fail to see why they would wait another year to upgrade to true HD.
