The title concept sounds very similar to Ant & Dec SNT's title sequence. The outside of the building looks lovely, nice and fresh looking. Looked like it was going to fall apart before. I'm excited to see what it's going to look like. Roll on tomorrow.
A new studio means a new control room so HD output surely ?
I see on the sky epg for tomorrow it's flagged as HD but for the rest of the week it's not so hmm...
Remember that it's a new set not a new studio. Though the post about the cameras going leaves me hopeful that they are going to use the Studio 7 gallery somehow in the short term, and would make this big set revamp necessary.
There's far more involved converting a studio to HD working than changing the cameras, don't get too excited (although for goodness sake it's just a daytime drivel show)

I think when an ITV broadcast engineer says this is "the last This Morning in SD today" and a camera assistant at The London Studios says "my bank holiday weekend is the HD rig and rehearse", we can believe them.
This Morning’s editor Martin Frizell added: “It’s a big September for This Morning and without giving anything away our viewers will be treated to surprises from the first few minutes on air.”

Then I put my money on an HD OB truck servicing the studio from tomorrow, while the gallery and associated racks kit is upgraded etc. The use of the word 'rig' is a clue.
Considering three ITV regions have had their news bulletins upgraded to HD before ITV's flagship daytime show, it was inevitable that they'd go HD, even if it means they use an OB truck for the next few months before the gallery has a refit. (I'd go for Summer 2016 by taking TM off-air in July and August).
