A clue that we're going to certainly see a look back for the final show from TLS on Friday.
Least they’re going through the proper material this time. I remember a few months back they tried to re-create the water menu and graphics for a retro item.
I understand why they haven't dramatically changed the set. With the other three ITV Daytime shows changing their sets, it was probably felt This Morning should provide some sort of continuity.

That and they'll want to make a big song-and-dance about their new space when they move back. Won't seem such a big thing if they do the same for this move too. The other shows make much less of a thing about them coming from the south bank, and Lorraine goes through sets like most people go through loaves of bread.

Not to mention the current set is only 2 and a half years old
Tbf, this set is the best that This Morning have had for a long time, the choice to do away with the seperate little areas and open it out into a big apartment style set has worked very well for them. I didn't expect them to ditch the layout, but thought they would come up with some new designs.
It's amazing that they're going to the effort of replicating everything including the pillars that are designed to covered up the support structures in studio 8.
Even though it's for four years they are still effectively a temporary home and ITV will want to ensure it's the set they move into when they return home that is brand new, rather than the temporary home. Also probably some basic cost savings too - new sets don't design themselves.
