Did anyone catch the 30 years worth of best bits shown on today's edition? If someone has the relevant software to record it from ITV Player and upload it, I'd appreciate it.
It's already been shown before last month on a Ruth and Eamonn edition.
It's interesting that in the early years, Phil wore a blazer and a tie but his look now is a lot more casual.
In common with a lot of on-screen talent. Ties have virtually disappeared outside of news.
He's actually referred to this in an interview. He said it was his own decision rather than editorial. He started off wearing a blazer without a tie for a while to see if anyone would notice, and gradually got more casual. ISTR Richard Madeley would occasionally wear a short sleeved shirt and no tie during warmer weather, but that may have been on the Channel 4 show.

This was into the early days of Holly and Philip's tenure when he lost the suit. Indeed I think on the odd day he'd just wear a shirt or blazer combo in the Fern and Phil days.
Indeed his hair change from black to grey was supposed to be spurred on after a chat he had with Fern and the bosses seemed to be ok with it after it was known that Philip was going to be John Leslie's permanent replacement.
It'll be interesting to see what the show looks like by then without it's familiar live backdrop. Even if they manage to recreate it with crystel clear screens it still feels like the show is going to be losing a big part of it's identity.

It's interesting that the male presenters on This Morning have blazer and shirt combo like Eamonn for example while others like Phil opt for just a casual shirt, I suppose on This Morning as it's a lifestyle show and not a hard hitting news show, you can afford to be casual, I have seen some some cover presenters avert from wearing a casual shirt or shirt and blazer combo on TM, Ore Oduba went for a top and blazer look and Dermot wore a roll neck.
