The first segment of TM remains topical, yet will feature one story as part of the interview. Friday they spent 1030-55 discussing the Pistorius trial verdict.
From what I had seen during the first week in September this was the case, and I hope that coninues, especially next Friday morning considering they're on for an extra half an hour in the morning, one would hazard a guess that the first hour they'll be talking about the result of the Scottish referendum.
Apparently TM is getting dropped in the event of a Yes vote, apparently network wide but I can't see STV taking the show in any case when BBC One Scotland have dropped all the network output.

There was a delay after Granada Weather finished at just before 11am, filled partly by a weird ”itv GRANADA" caption I've never seen before. Basic black background with a big 5 colour ITV logo and Granada in white text underneath. It was up for about 5 seconds before This Morning finally came back.

I saw that too; I've seen the big ITV Granada logo before as well. I presume it's just what they display on their feed when they aren't opting out.
The sofa area (former hub) made a reappearance today. Seems like there's a different set of sofas in there now which look a bit firmer and there is less clutter in there.
