None of those buildings are underneath Studio 8, all the buildings in your picture are in Gabriels Wharf. Studio 8 is next door in Prince's Wharf.
As you know, the building with "Gabriel's Wharf" painted on it is Studio 8. The shops may not be directly under it, but my point is you could hardly knock down Studio 8 without the rest of the buildings.
I'm sure you could knock it down. That and the other buildings/hut-style shops are not physically connected to one another.
My earlier point was that it seems unlikely anything will be used there once ITV vacates. The interior areas have been modified hugely to facilitate a television studio, so without significant remodelling, will it just sit there - or will it be redeveloped?
Seems highly unlikely that kind of real estate would just sit there - it’s absolute prime position! My money is on it becoming a restaurant. It wouldn’t take that much remodelling.

Yes, you could knock it down. LWT proposed doing just that when they were in the initial stages of trying to woo Channel to come to the South Bank when they were vacating Charlotte Street. The intention was to knock it down and replace it with a purpose built complex for Channel 4. In return for the Coin Street community agreeing I think LWT were offering to build a Public swimming pool in the area. This was before all the re-development in the area around the TV Centre from the mid-80's onwards.
The buildings in Gabriels Wharf are really just glorified sheds, they could be removed quite easily and they are not connected to Prince's Wharf - or at least they shouldn't be.
Worth noting that the former This Morning studios at the Albert Dock became (a very nice) restaurant.
Could see the same happening to Studio 8, wouldn't be too hard to find a tenant who could put up the money and given the location and being near things like the National Theatre and The SouthBank Centre, it could make a decent amount of money as a restaurant
Who might that be? Whilst ITV don't own the building they may well have a lease on it - and maybe a long one. In the same way they held the lease on the TV centre before they bought the freehold outright. Do they rent the building? Who knows.
Gabriels Wharf needs knocking down, in my opinion they should take down Prince's Wharf as well and make a decent job of it.

I'm sure the independent businesses on Gabriels Wharf would love to hear how easily their "glorified sheds" could be removed.
Lots of things *could* be done. You could knock down half of London but it doesn't mean it's likely to happen.

Which restaurant is it?
P
Gabriels Wharf could be razed to the ground in a week. Coin Street Community Builders want to re-development the site into a care home in the long term.
I sense you are trying to defend the indefensible, so I'll leave it there.

You sense wrong, I'm not trying to defend anything. There is a long term strategy for the site but it's incredibly unlikely that either Princes or Gabriels Wharf will change for many, many years to come.
Thanks for showing the plans gottogo not seen them before. Have to say it is one ugly boring building they want to build. If you going to spend money and get rid of something historic at least replace it with something inspiring and original not some concrete and glass.
I think there might be some confusion about the location of the This Morning studio at the Albert Dock in Liverpool. As far as I remember, it wasn't where Panam is situated. It was further into the corner of the dock a bit further up from Panam. There are still a couple of grey (as opposed to red) pillars where the studio was. Whataday's right in that it is a restaurant, but it's actually called What's Cooking. Last time I checked it was, anyway.
