This Morning

They've use this past week to trial a few ideas on this morning, well I presume it was a trial. There was no hub featured and they had a get in touch promo with Eamonn & Ruth using tablets for viewers comments. This could mean yet another new look for the hub for next week of course.

They used a new style of menu on Friday's show too which had the logo animate out, then a strip rip vertically where images appeared. The strange thing about this was that E&R then read through the menu whilst on screen.
The menu introduced last September was in place earlier in the week, off that it would be used late on only, and it seemed too polished for just that day.

There will no doubt be a new kitchen too, as the B&Q product placement will be ending.

Does Amanda start on Monday then or is Holly back for a few weeks?

I think Holly is back for a few weeks (there was a competition VT on Friday which said something along the lines of 'it's time for Eamonn and Ruth to hand over the baton to Phil and Holly".

Does anyone envisage any major set changes? Its remained pretty much the same since 2009 despite subtle changes to furniture etc.

It's been the same since about 2007, 09 was only furniture changes, new wallpaper and the window 'border' repainted white.

Anyhow, I doubt there will be anything massive done to other parts of the set other than a new kitchen and The Hub re-done. That said, they may extend the B&Q PP as I presume they've done that with the DFS sofa.

I'd have thought though even if B&Q extend the product placement it's in their interests to get a new kitchen from their latest range in there.

By the looks of the titles and credits there is now no product placement in place however the B&Q kitchen and DFS sofas remain. I wonder if any new deals wil come into place anytime soon.

I imagine there may be a wallpaper change, the current has been in use since July last year and always looks more like a paint & stencil job to me.

The menu had changed on Thursday as well. I don't see the point of it when they do the verbal recap. They're kind of "re-saying" what they've only just said. I hope that doesn't remain. Guessing there's a new hub on Monday. Don't remember them not having the hub for any period when it's been undergoing a revamp. Might be a big revamp then.

Or maybe they've dropped the hub?

FYI on Wednesday's show Eamonn said that Phillip & Holly would be back on Monday.
