Even though Fern left a few years ago now, it would have been a good to get her back for a few weeks. Guaranteed silliness and laughs...

Was thinking that the other day and then I thought that everyone on here would be like "Why the fudge* would she come back after leaving, especially just to cover her successors bloody maternity leave, idiot."

Of course it would be brilliant if she did do a stint as a stand-in.

Fern covering would show Holly up way too much, how I wished her Channel 4 show had worked out...

Ben Shephard presenting alongside Ruth this morning, Eamonn's attending his son's graduation.

Ben seemed more comfortable presenting This Morning than GMB.

To me, he looked very uncomfortable in the polo shirt compared to how authoritative he looks on GMB with his suit.

Out of curiosity, how well does This Morning rate?

About 1m, 20% share, obviously depends on the time of year.

First time I've noticed this purple strap being used during a phone-in.

Did that appear with the captions or all of the time through the item?
It's very rarely that they do a proper phone in these days.

The bottom strap was throughout the feature.

I suppose it was for the casual viewer so that they knew what the item was about when flicking onto the programme.
