I'd bring This Morning up to 9.25, and push Jeremy Kyle back and have a NBC type of morning show.

Granted it's not from 2012, but interesting for any This Morning fan...

Has anyone got any info about TM going HD ? It's about time they did. It is one of the worse SD quality shows for some reason also

It looks even worse upscaled on ITV1 HD - the only worse looking picture quality I've seen from a studio is at BBC Millbank. It does seem odd they've taken this long to get round to putting one of their biggest shows into HD!

The issue with This Morning going HD is how exactly they are going to go about it. They have a small window over Christmas to do it, but other than that it's on air every day. It could do with a rest over the summer and it would be a good time to do it, but I can't see them doing that.

I'm wondering if part of the reason they haven't made it HD yet is because of the set itself. It is a great set but the 'brickwork' already looks a bit plastic in SD, they'll have to completely redo it for HD.

ITN managed it and they're a hell of a lot busier than the This Morning studio - I'm sure they could do it somehow.

There's ways around it even presenting from another studio through another gallery for a week or so.

Such as the Daybreak set?

Or pre record a show? and anything live like the papper review could be green screen over a picture of the background behind the couch?

Surely the daybreak mk1 studio 7 would be a suitable home. They'd have to cut down on the areas that they currently have, but I'm sure it could be done. Possibly keeping the hub in studio 8, as its newly decorated, and linking to it.

So, Philip Schofield may be in a spot of hot water.

I've noticed very recently over the past few months that Philip has become an extremely intrusive and aggressive interviewer, which is fine as it has created some scoops over the past few months.

However without proper journalism training, no presenter should be allowed to 'become the new Paxman' because of the repercussions it can cause when they inevitably slip up.

ITV should have nipped this in the bud ages ago and had a word with him over this. How they think an ex Saturday morning presenter can suddenly become a hard hitting journalist is beyond me. ITV should be held to blame here.

Oh and I've finally made 1000 posts! Only took 9 years.
