Don't think that's the case as in Hollyoaks they have two product placement deals, Nokia and L'Oreal. In the bus stop you often see large posters for both companies next to each other on screen at the same time.
Maybe it was moved because the kitchen looks busy enough and it wouldn't be noticed.
The coffee machine was moved into the hub, looking a little out of place and pointed out by Holly. So I presume that deal is still going too.

Presumably they could now relocate the programme to studio 7 for a short period whilst any work takes place. Obviously a more condensed studio, but with elements of their set included, it could work well.
According to someone reliable on DS, Studio 8 is scheduled for a HD upgrade next year.
