Who was the lady presenting This Morning last week with Eamonn Holmes? It wasn't his wife, Ruth Langsford, but another brunette. Familiar looking, but can't recall her name. They interviewed the Benidorm cast in the studio?

Aye. That's her, Rob. Thanks very much.

Initially, I thought it was Rachel McTavish, when I first saw the clip on YT.

A lot of daytime content is still in SD - including Lorraine, Loose Women, and Jeremy Kyle - both US and UK versions.

Outside of daytime ITV are pretty good with HD. I think all of their primetime schedule is now HD, and Daybreak has also been HD from launch too.

No doubt Kyle will be in HD once it moves to Media City, though I'm sure everyone would rather it stayed in SD.

It's strange to think how when ITV first started off its HD service there was barely an hour of it a week and it was like that for some time trailing well behind the BBC. When they did turn it around they did so quite quickly and there was a period where I'm sure there was more of ITV's primetime schedule in HD than BBC One's.

Channel 4 were still lagging behind until recently IMO.

The problem I have with HD channels is the DOG - the DOGs for BBC One HD, BBC HD and ITV1 HD are quite faint and aren't noticeable. But 4 HD and 5 HD are quite noticeable and distracting.

I'm hopeful that other broadcasters outside of Sky will adopt the policy of having the DOG fade out after a short period of time at the start of a programme and coming back from breaks.

I'm surprised the DOGs have lasted on the BBC at least as when they tried that trick when the digital versions worked they didn't get away with it for long. I suspect too many people who can watch the HD versions opt for the SD versions instead to avoid the DOG.

I suspect too many people who are anal about DOGs and can watch the HD versions opt for the SD versions instead to avoid the DOG.

I'm pretty sure Loose Women has been HD since their new look launched?

Though Daybreak is only HD in studio most of the time. The vast majority of their location ' VT' and their OBs are still SD (unlike Sky News)

Yes that is true - the same with Breakfast. I don't have access to Sky News HD so wouldn't know how many of their OBs are in HD.
