They weren't the very first titles but a later set I believe. The original set of titles just had various clips appearing in a box with the Albert Dock as the background.

I believe this was the first set of opening titles.
you may remember a few weeks ago I said about This Morning using powerpoint on their screens in their studio and I showed this picture
I zoomed in on the plasma in the hub to show this, many people probably didn't notice but I did.
and they have really made it obvious now that they use powerpoint because this is a screenshot from Friday's This Morning
oops! Silly This Morning.
And before that they got it wrong as they started from halfway through the presentation.
they were the first titles and theme music back in 1988, the music has changed three times since then
And no wonder that theme music only lasted the first series. It was cheesy. The second was a big improvement; though a bit synthy. The third was largely building on the second, less synthy but a bit OTT on the sax, for my liking, though still good. The current one is poor. Anyone know when the change from the second to third arrangement took place? I'm guess at the beginning of the 1995-6 series, when BT started sponsoring the programme.
Really, This Morning is barely recognizable as the same programme anymore. Original studio, gone, Richard & Judy, gone, the theme, still just about here but barely recognizable.
I can't imagine they were made for the 21st, they look a bit too authentically 80's both design-wise and technically. They maybe the ones used for the pilot, although apparently Dr Chris was a late sign-up
As I said above, the first set of titles were far more basic. I'd suggest they're a later set given the effects used, if they'd made them for the pilot they would have surely carried them onto the series proper.
