I'm sure I've seen a version with the logo in the picture, but thinking about it a logo hangs from this frame, so I doubt it. They've had a few these past 12 mths with Ben shepherd & mark durden-smith filling in whilst schofe was in oz backstage at im a celeb, Kate thornton's done a few too. Plus as has been mentioned Phil & Ruth have done a few, and I know Holly & Eamonn did the weekend editions, not sure if they did any live shows together though. It reminds me of the final Richard & Judy era titles where they featured all of the this morning family on a blue & yellow colourscheme ending with Richard & Judy or Fern & John, to which again there were no variants.
This Morning is supposed to be going HD in the summer (though Holly & Phil had a TV moan about it). I imagine this may mean that some of the set will have to be replaced, am I right in saying it's majoritively the same set since 2007?
I'm surprised they didn't make a version which didn't have a presenter combo at the start, surely there would be some oddities along the way...

bit strange but when I was watching this morning yesterday the were showing images of all the people from the riots and they then put it in full screen and in the bottom corner I saw this:
this is in the bottom corner of the screen in powerpoint which means that this morning use powerpoint for some of their graphics and screens. I thought they would use more expensive stuff than that.

I was convinced they use this in the hub after watching the programme. The touch screen, which they no longer use the feature of as much, used to do a push transition which clearly looked like it was from powerpoint. It always looked a bit dodgy when the graphics from the touchscreen were outputted to the main in-vision line, a bit fuzzy and out of usual sizing with a stretched appearance.

yes , I also thought it was fuzzy it would also jump a lot. why didn't they just use the software that they use fot the rest of the show?

In regards to the Albert Dock, it is indeed where the two grey pillars are at the south west end of the dock. It should to be pointed out that that the Granada News/Reports/Tonight came from a different building, at the opposite end of the dock, in the old traffic office.
Not sure what you mean about weathering the storm. What storm was there to weather in Liverpool in the 90s? Granada moved all its news operations, wholesale, to Liverpool in 1986, in preparation of fighting the upcoming franchise round where they were expecting to face more Liverpool-based opposition arguing that they were Manchester-centric, as had happened in the 1980 franchise round.
Not long after Granada had secured the franchise in 1991, they moved the main Granada Tonight programme back to Manchester. Having bought LWT in 1994, Granada wanted to utilize their new London asset, so This Morning moved down there in 1996. It had nothing to do with any of the weird myths about not being able to get Tom Cruise to travel to Liverpool or how Richard & Judy wanted to move and somehow blackmailed Granada. The news stayed until October 1998, when Shop! was launched, meaning no room for the news and so it was moved back to Manchester.
Granada never really cared for Liverpool. It was always a local station for Manchester that had a coverage area much larger than its own affinity.
...Even Granada packed up and went back to Manchester. It's a pity they didn't weather the storm, as Liverpool is really coming back now. Having lived here for almost a quarter of a century, it's been amazing to see how the city has changed.

Paddy and Coleen are fine when they aren't presenting together, mainly because the good presenter next to them can cover up and hold things together. But Paddy & Coleen don't have an ounce of presenting talent between them and it really shows when they present together. I do like them away from presenting and I can see ITVs thinking by putting them on but it really doesn't work.
When Jenni has had her baby I hope they don't overlook her for such roles, she really started to come into her own when she covered Holly. Matt from The Hub did it once and he was good too, I'd really like to see ITV use them two during the school holidays.
Eamonn & Ruth are really annoying me now though, I can't wait for Phil & Holly to come back.
Just going away from presenters for a minute, Phil said on air that This Morning is going HD in September. Anyone know if those plans have been shelved? Unless they aren't changing the set (which will look rubbish in HD) and have been doing all of the necessary work around the summer programme, then I'm assuming it has because they are still on air next week. Or maybe they've just pushed it back until Christmas when they actually will be off air.

I read in a magazine that there is going to be some big changes come September, could be all a load of rubbish mind you.
It went on to say that the set was getting all re-designed, newish bits were going to get refreshed and so on.
