She's alright, nothing special. I'd say the worst presenter, by far is Fearne Cotton! So annoying on screen.

What a coincidence that on the same day this was announced that Fearne got the 10am slot 5 days a week on Radio 1... think her agent was holding out for that one personally.

No replacement for the goddess that is Jo Whiley.

Fearne Cotton - so bad even America wouldn't take her off our hands!

Interesting choice. Isn't this the first time that they've got a pairing neither of whom have a journalistic background? (Richard, Judy, Eamonn and Fern all have news presenting or reporting in their background)

For me she's a bit young to have huge amounts of credibility - but she is equally very warm and like-able. Be interesting to see how an older audience take to her - I guess being a new mum gives her at least some "life experience" to draw on.

Not sure Twiggy and Colleen Nolan had much journalistic experience to draw on... Laughing

Exactly. How long did they last? It may explain why they didn't last too long. That said they were both far-from-experienced TV presenters - Holly has good live TV grounding.

I personally believe that Davina Mccall would have been a better choice. Maybe they should tried to take someone from the BBC like Christine Bleakley or someone news related like Kate Silverton.

Well Christine Bleakley was said to be in the frame, but really I don't rate her at all.

I don't think anyone else had a chance after Philip put his foot down and more or less told them to give Holly the job.

Davina McCall on This Morning? The guests would never get a word in.

Think I'd rather have Twiggy and Coleen.

I agree Davina is not one for giving time to the interviews.. she's always hurries people up (or maybe I've been watching too much Big Brother with my life over the years..)

I just don't think she is the right choice .She is far to twee and plays it safe she is just boring there is no edge .It will be interesting to see how she develops it was SO obvious that she was going to get it after Phil put his foot down.

Be interesting to see what tomorrow brings I suppose we'll see that clip about dunking beef Rolling Eyes how many times have they shown that now .I can just see Denise Rolling Eyes no doubt she'll have a tear in her eye.

I do feel from watching the show lately that there is a little bit of tension between Fern and Phil he seems to be just butting in and leading with most interviews. When he announced Holly's arrival on todays show Fern just put on that fixed smile with her arms folded and said well done darling.

To be honest for the past year its been clear that Fern's had enough but I don't think there is tension between Fern and Phil at all.
