I'm sure he'd be consulted, but I doubt he'd have the final say. Indeed the final say might be beyond those in charge of This Morning itself.

He is bound to be involved in same way if he's a co-presenter. They'll want to get someone that he likes, can work with and has a chemistry with.

As for Fern joining the BBC, I wonder what format they have for her. Normally such changes happen with the presenter turning up to a rival network with a crappy programme to present (Phillip Schofield did for a while after moving from BBC to ITV). They'd better have something good
