Only problem would be that she's now Alan Carrs sidekick on their new Radio 2 Saturday show.

Because This Morning is on at the weekend? Think about it.

Philip came in full time in 2002 after John Leslie left due to a little verbal slip by a certain Mr Wright Embarassed

Sorry. I should have phrased it properly. I was wondering whether she will present a daytime chat programme or a saturday night show etc

Suspect a saturday night LE show - after her outing on Comic Relief?

Apart from Anne Robinson, and Claudia Winkleman, the Beeb don't really have any decent LE presenters. Fearne Cotton is a bit "edgy" for mainstream BBC One saturday nights, and Tess is just about OK as a sidekick, but I can't see her as a lead presenter.

Fern has a good strong "family friendly" image - but isn't afraid to be a bit naughty at times. A good early evening format in the Total Wipeout / Hole in the Wall slot could be a good move.

That story seems to be tabloid gossip atm - no confirmation from Fern or the BBC.

Also I'll be surprised if Fern has pulled out of the BSAs - this year's at least.

This Morning isn't on at weekends - being my casing point! I was being sarcastic to Brekkles.

Me thinks words backstage that night may have poked her decision. But of course, no confirmation as to anything yet.

I fear if she did a talk show it may end up like 'Davina' purely because I think Fern needs an appropriate time slot but who knows.
