the 'view' from the this morning studio was also used in the opening titles of brookside

There was building work going on near to there in Liverpool when I went there back in July!
try finding recent building work near where you live - you won't see it as the picvtures are about 3-4 years old!

Google-earth hasn't got my new office on (and I have been in the office for almost 2 years) or any of the other building work at Spinningfields (next to Granada) in Manchester!!!!!

Just how long is that building work going to go on for next to Granada in Manchester anyway!

The new office block right on front of Granada offices are almost complete - from what I've heard it will be the extension for Esure - big expansion plans at moment for them!!!
Spinningfields(you can see it on Granada Reports - it starts with the building with the big massive RBS logo on it!) itself (now totally owned by RBS) are about halfway through, the apartments are done and ready to move into (opposite the home of the old Albion Market set and next to my UK office (RBS Group - it not just a banking/insurance group!!!), then the other building work (new homes for Barclays and Manchester Evening News and Manchester Courts/Constitutional affairs) - but still owned by RBS!!!

On another note did you know that the Victoria and Albert Hotel (once part of the Granada group) is now operated by Marriott hotels but the building is actually owned by RBS Group!!!

I don't think the RBS Group have been mentioned enough in this thread.

How can we have an office for constitutional affairs when the UK (England) has NO constitution????????

They could build a studio!

hahahaha

why does spongebob need to be banned btw?

Because he is dark, satanic, nefarious influence on children just like Harry Potter is Wink

ITV build a new studio? Pigs might. I can't see them building a studio in Nottingham, especially after the Lenton Lane/ Terry Lloyd house debacle Rolling Eyes

Well they could do what they are best at...... Wasting money in renting space to turn into a studio!!!

Surely thats the BBC in Birmingham - anyway they will have a nice little portakabin going cheap at the end of this week - you get a free Nadia Swahalia with it (though the beeb are keeping Adrian.) Wink
I understood that This Morning wanted a set design that reflected the 'roots' of the programme. So instead of looking at the popularity of the Liverpool studio with real bricks they have to have plastic ones in London. That sums up the mentality of ITV at the moment Rolling Eyes

Why have a number of people got the idea that The One Show studio is some sort of "extension"/"portakabin". It's not! It's a proper part of The Mailbox building, and was always there - not merely recently added just for The One Show. It's the same area as used for the Politics Show (Midlands) set.

It's basically a pseudo-studio (i.e. a cleared area of space that happens to have some studio-ish elements such as a lighting rig) at one end of the office/newsroom. A bit like the old Pebble Mill foyer - not really a "studio" in the normal sense, but effectively one.

we do have a constitution - just not a "written constitution" like the US and other newish contries. Our constitution is spread across loads of little laws and documents dating back to the magna carta.
