where does This Morning broadcast from?

Kent House, AKA The London Studios, based on the South Bank of the River Thames.

Fred's map got removed years ago AIUI, probably about 3 or 4 years now. It's a shame as Granada have left the Albert Dock altogether now, the old This Morning studio is a café, the map has been thrown away and the newsroom for Granada is now based in the Liver Building just a stonesthrow away. But saying that if you go to the Albert Dock now, it seems to be more classier and there seems to be a high culture vibe with loads of bars, café's and the Tate being there, it wouldn't feel right if This Morning would still be based there now in a way.

The break stings are very London-centric (London eye/tower bridge). Not good IMHO!

It's set in London on the River Thames - that's why! They are maximising their location!

Well duh!

Reason I said it was because it's not a programme about London...and particularly to me, who grew up in Granada-land when it was very much a North West show, it's a shame to see the London eye and that put on the graphics as if they're part of what the show's about. Cos it's not like we don't see them all the time anyway, is it...!

It was just the same when it was filmed in Liverpool - as much of Liverpool on screen as possible. BTW does anyone know if Fred's map is still in the dock????

Wasnt there when I went there in July!

Its a shame This Morning stopped being made in Liverpool - more and more programmes come from London

Wasn't the "official" reasons for movong it to London was becuase the stars they interviewed did not want to go to Liverpool? whilst the "unofficial" view was that Richard and Judy wanted to move down there and effectively blackmailed ITV into moving it down there - then look what happened they jumped ship.

If anything I'd love to see This Morning come from a diferent location than London - too much is made about that city and the truth is its that its history is built upon other cities history and hence has no real history of its own - (i.e. which was the first official indutrial city in the world?, which city invented the first modern computer?, which city did Robert Peel, the creator of the modern police, live near?, which city has overtaken Birmingham to officially become England's second city?, which city has rejuvinated itself into the most modern European city in this country - since a July 1996 bombing by the IRA - MANCHESTER).

Not that I am saying that Manchester should have it (of course I am!!!) - I could actually see it coming live from URBIS - a perfect building for This Morning - and also the home of Channel M! or live from The Printworks (anywhere in the city centre just as long as they are near Exchange Square!!!!

Or how about coming from Norwich - I'm sure Norwich is as just picturesque as Manchester is, or better. Or how about Leeds or Bristol. London is just not the right place for This Morning!

Its a shame no programmes come from Liverpool these days, its a great city.

I must admit I only mentioned the cities with true ITV studios! But yes, Liverpool could be a possiblity and so many other locations - in fact I'd love to see it come from Nottingham, an absolutely gorgeous and historical city.

Nottingham? Where would ITV do that? Especially since ITV sold off its biggest studio complex on Lenton Lane a couple of years ago Rolling Eyes -- now part of University of Nottingham in case anyone was wondering.

There's certainly no room at Terry Lloyd House! Laughing

ITV build a new studio? Pigs might. I can't see them building a studio in Nottingham, especially after the Lenton Lane/ Terry Lloyd house debacle Rolling Eyes

try finding recent building work near where you live - you won't see it as the picvtures are about 3-4 years old!
