The break stings are very London-centric (London eye/tower bridge). Not good IMHO!

It's set in London on the River Thames - that's why! They are maximising their location!

There are a couple of random ones too though - one of a fairground horse ride for example.

Also wanted to add the news at the random time of 11.10am completly ruins the structure of the programme - they'd be better off having it a few minutes later at the end of the first hour.

I take it its still the actual window overlooking the bank.

Well yeah - Watch it or look at the pics above! Confused

I think gregmc means is it still the REAL window (i.e. they haven't moved to an enclosed studio, and started using a back-projection simulation of a window, have they???)

Well duh!

Reason I said it was because it's not a programme about London...and particularly to me, who grew up in Granada-land when it was very much a North West show, it's a shame to see the London eye and that put on the graphics as if they're part of what the show's about. Cos it's not like we don't see them all the time anyway, is it...!

I Like the new set, looks like the window has returned to it's original size after shrinking slowly over the last few series. It is a real window because if you look at the top in the pic you can see the reflections of the lights.

I can see the connection with 'friends' as it has that apartment look about it with the exposed beams and brickwork

Dont think much of the new set - I preferred the old one. However im glad they have kept the music the same.

It was just the same when it was filmed in Liverpool - as much of Liverpool on screen as possible. BTW does anyone know if Fred's map is still in the dock????

No, not any more. I went to the Albert Dock last week and it hasn't been for a few years to my knowledge.

Wasn't the "official" reasons for movong it to London was becuase the stars they interviewed did not want to go to Liverpool? whilst the "unofficial" view was that Richard and Judy wanted to move down there and effectively blackmailed ITV into moving it down there - then look what happened they jumped ship.

If anything I'd love to see This Morning come from a diferent location than London - too much is made about that city and the truth is its that its history is built upon other cities history and hence has no real history of its own - (i.e. which was the first official indutrial city in the world?, which city invented the first modern computer?, which city did Robert Peel, the creator of the modern police, live near?, which city has overtaken Birmingham to officially become England's second city?, which city has rejuvinated itself into the most modern European city in this country - since a July 1996 bombing by the IRA - MANCHESTER).

Not that I am saying that Manchester should have it (of course I am!!!) - I could actually see it coming live from URBIS - a perfect building for This Morning - and also the home of Channel M! or live from The Printworks (anywhere in the city centre just as long as they are near Exchange Square!!!!

Or how about coming from Norwich - I'm sure Norwich is as just picturesque as Manchester is, or better. Or how about Leeds or Bristol. London is just not the right place for This Morning!

Back to the brickwork style set. I always liked that Liverpool set, this new look seems a little bit in that style again.
